biography

Bart Verschaffel (1956) is a philosopher and professor at Ghent University. He teaches architectural theory in the department of Architecture and Urban Development, and Semiotics at the University of Antwerp. He wrote a doctoral dissertation on the epistemology of historical sciences and he obtained his Ph D at the Catholic University of Louvain in 1985. His publications cover the research fields of cultural philosophy, art and architectural theory and aesthetics.
